Carolinanet Acquires Inter-Tech Communications' Web Services Division
Carolinanet has purchased the Web services division of Inter-Tech Communications. The acquisition strengthens hosting and colocation services as well as customer support for Inter-Tech's existing Web services clients.
GREENSBORO, NC, September 30, 2008 /Web Hosting and ISP PR News/ -- Carolinanet has purchased the Web services division of Inter-Tech Communications. The acquisition strengthens hosting and colocation services as well as customer support for Inter-Tech's existing Web services clients. As a result of this merger, Inter-Tech's servers and related business operations will move to Carolinanet's state-of-the-art data center facilities at the Guilford Building in downtown Greensboro.
This restructuring allows Inter-Tech to focus on its growing IT consulting business while ensuring Web services clients continue to receive the best customer care and have access to the latest techonology. Carolinanet has extensive experience in data center operations. Its location in the Guilford Building, home to multiple telecommunications companies, allows access to many fiber connections throughout the southeastern United States.
Carolinanet has had a successful track record even as the economy has struggled. Nicky Smith, President of Carolinanet, attributes this to the company's focus on Internet telecommunications services. "Specialization is a key element," says Smith, who has more than three decades of experience in computer technologies. "One company can no longer be all thing to all businesses. Our expertise in hosting, co-location, online systems applications, and telecommunications will enhance the services Inter-Tech's customers currently use."
